Hearing Tests

Delta Audiology offers comprehensive hearing tests in Briarcliff Manor, NY for adults of all ages. A hearing test will identify any hearing loss and the degree present (mild, moderate, moderately severe, severe or profound). The hearing exam itself is quick and easy. You will sit inside a soundproof booth with a pair of headphones on and listen for a series of sounds at different volumes and frequencies. You will be asked to respond to each sound you hear.

The results of your hearing test will be recorded on an audiogram. This will give your audiologist the information they need to prescribe hearing aids, if necessary. If you think you may have hearing loss, a hearing test is the first step! Contact us today to schedule your appointment.

Hearing Aid Fittings

For hearing aids to provide you with better hearing, they need to be fit and programmed precisely to your needs. Our audiologist will ensure your devices sit comfortably yet securely in/around your ear, so you can wear them all day with no concern. We’ll also program them to your unique hearing needs.

During your hearing aid fitting appointment we’ll also go over how to use your new devices, how to connect them to any corresponding apps, and answer any questions you may have.

Tinnitus Treatment

Tinnitus, also known as “ringing in the ears,” is when you hear phantom sounds in your ears or head. These are typically described as buzzing, humming, ringing, whistling, or other sound that is not externally present. Millions of people experience tinnitus at some point in their lifetime. And it can range from occasional to consistent. For those who hear ringing in the ears on a frequent basis, it can affect quality of life, sleep, and concentration.

Dr. Elise Gallignano is an expert in tinnitus and can help patients overcome ringing in the ears. To identify tinnitus, we will perform a full hearing evaluation. If identified, we carry tinnitus masking hearing aids that can help alleviate the perception of tinnitus. Although hearing aids won’t stop ringing in the ears completely, they can help by offering relief.
